Documents Required for JEE Counselling 2026: Document Validity/Verification
If there is any mismatch between documents uploaded on the JoSAA portal and those uploaded earlier during JEE registration, and the reason is willful forgery/act of cheating, the offer of admission will be withdrawn. Applicants will not be allowed to appear in the next seat allocation rounds. Thus, the aspirants will forfeit the eligibility for admission to any of the institutes through JoSAA.
Therefore, candidates should keep the valid documents ready and upload them at the time of registration/ seat allotment. All the certificates/documents will be verified during online reporting and thereafter physically, during reporting at the admitting Institute. If the category document is found invalid or candidates fail to produce a (valid) category document, the category tag will be changed as explained below:
