JEE Counselling Fee Structure: JEE Registration and Filling in of the Choices

The filling in of choices on the JoSAA online portal is free of cost. Applicants are not required to pay any fee for JoSAA registration and choice filling.

JEE Counselling Fee Structure: Seat Allotment

A candidate who has been allocated a seat needs to accept the seat and select any one of the options ‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’ or ‘Float’. They will have to upload all the required documents, pay the seat acceptance fee, and respond to any queries raised by the verifying officer. The uploaded documents will not be verified unless the aspirant pays the seat acceptance fee. Admission fee differs across the Institutes/categories and is different from the seat acceptance fee. At the time of seat acceptance, candidates have to pay the seat acceptance fee only in the round in which the seat is allotted for the first time or through the pre-payment option. Failing to pay the fees will be considered as a rejection of the allocated seat by the candidate.

The seat acceptance fees can be paid using a debit card/UPI/Credit card /Net Banking/E-Challan/CSC. The seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the admission fee, excluding JoSAA processing charges of Rs. 5000. Note: Candidate must ensure that the payment of the seat acceptance fee is completed and updated in the JoSAA portal within the timeline. The seat acceptance fee is not refundable. But if a candidate later validly withdraws from the seat allocation process, then the seat acceptance fee paid will be refunded after deducting the JoSAA withdrawal processing charges of Rs. 7000. 

JEE Counselling Fee Structure: Partial Admission Fee (For NIT+ System only)

Aspirants who are provisionally allocated a seat (allocated in any round of JoSAA and which has not been cancelled or withdrawn) in NIT+System need to pay the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) in addition to the Seat Acceptance Fees from their JoSAA portal. Failing to pay the partial admission fee will be considered as a rejection of the offered/allocated seat in the NIT+ system. So, candidates are advised to make the payment within the deadline. Reporting at the Admitting Institute
